Role Playing Games – What Are They All About?

A role-playing game (RPG) is a type of game where players assume the roles of imaginary characters in a scenario created by the game developer and vicariously experience the adventures of these characters.

In role-playing games players often team up to generate narratives. The play progresses according to a preset scheme of rules and strategy, within which players may invent liberally. Player options shape the course and conclusion of role-playing games.

Role-playing games are usually more gung-ho and casual fun than competitive. A role-playing game unites its participants into a single team that fights as a group. A role-playing game rarely has winners or losers. This makes role-playing games uniquely different from board games, card games, sports and other types of games. Role-playing games attract because they fire the players’ imagination. สล็อต xo

There are many different types of role-playing games. The PC-based RPG-s of today aren’t an original genre; they are derived from board-based or real-life games that have been popular with children and even grown-ups for a long, long time. One such RPG might involve guests at a dinner party acting out suspects in a murder mystery, while another might involve players sitting around a bonfire and narrating parts of a story and rolling dice. Another RPG might consist of costumed participants recreating a medieval battle with padded armor and heavy weapons.

At their nucleus, role-playing games are a form of interactive and mutual storytelling. Simple forms of role-playing exist in traditional children’s games such as “cops and robbers,” “dogs and mailmen,” “cowboys and Indians,” and “playing house” or “doctor”.

The original form of role-playing game was the fantasy war game, inspired by brave knight and witchcraft lore and using minute figures and scale terrain grids to demonstrate action in a way similar to that of strategic war games.

Role-playing games have rules known usually as game mechanics. Almost all role-playing games require the participation of a game master (GM), who narrates the game session and acts as the moderator and rules arbitrator. The rest of the participants create and play inhabitants of the game setting, known as player characters (PCs). The player characters collectively are known as a “party”.

Internet role-playing games range from graphical games such as EverQuest to simple text based games. They can also be divided into genres by the imaginary locale where they take place. Fantasy RPGs draw their inspiration from fantasy literature, such as the works of J. R. R. Tolkien. The best games in this field are Dungeons & Dragons, Exalted, Palladium Fantasy, RuneQuest, Legend of the Five Rings etc.

Science fiction RPGs are inspired by science fiction literature. The setting is generally in the future. The popular games are Rifts, Traveller, Cyberpunk 2020, Paranoia, Shadowrun and so forth.

Horror RPGs are inspired by horror literature. Horror RPGs can be divided into two groups. The first is inspired by the works of H. P. Lovecraft, focusing on humanity’s fight against malevolent, extra-dimensional entities. The second centres around playing supernatural creatures, such as vampires, changelings, and werewolves. The top titles are Call of Cthulhu, Kult, World of Darkness Changeling: The Dreaming, Vampire: The Masquerade, Vampire: The Requiem, Werewolf: The Apocalypse, Werewolf: The Forsaken, Hunter: The Reckoning, Orpheus, and Mage: The Ascension.

Brain Training For the PC – Why They Are Better Than Brain Training Video Games

More and more people are considering brain training for the PC games.  These games are gaining in popularity because they truly offer brain fitness potential compared to their video game counterparts.  For those new to this industry,  companies like Nintendo(TM) created a number of video games made popular on game system like the Wii(TM) and the DS Lite(TM) systems.  These games became very popular, particularly in Japan.  However, the knock on these games is that they offer little true mind training benefits or improvement.  In this void stepped, brain training for the PC games which were supported by a number of scientific advisory boards.  These companies include Lumos Labs(TM), Posit Science(TM), and CogniFit(TM) among others.  These companies are able to provide better mind fitness training in comparison for many reasons.  Here, are a few of the reasons why:

1.  Some brain training games are better suited for PCs than others.

The larger screen and computing capabilities of a standard computer tend to dwarf the abilities of smaller gaming systems like the DS Lite and Wii.  This makes it possible to have more intricate games that specifically call on more abilities to offer a true mind workout.  In addition, the monitor size can have impact on performance in some games. สล็อตโจ๊กเกอร์

For visual or spatial games, it is very likely that monitor size can have a direct correlation on how or easy the game is.  This occurs because in games where exact location is needed to be remembered, this is hard to find on smaller monitors because of less pixilation.  This can actually become a deterrent to using the program because errors are made that are not really errors because of the smaller size.  This issue is largely reduce with brain training for PC games.

2.  Offer more variation than video game versions.

The PC or online versions allow for changes to be made more easily than video game versions.  A new update can easily be added to online systems allowing users to get the enhanced version.   Although some programs come in a CD format, many more are designed to be used directly online.  The result is these mind fitness companies can easily make changes to existing games or add new games when the need dictates.  This creates an ever evolving benefit to customers that the video game versions cannot match.

3.  The better companies are backed by scientific study.

There are a number of the online companies that truly are in the business of creating brain fitness programs designed to help against cognitive decline and to improve daily brain functioning.  These companies are easy to spot because they will have studies supporting their games and will tend to take on scientific feel.  The most popular ones are Lumos Labs that offers the Lumosity(TM) Games, Posit Science which offers a few different game formats, and CogniFit which offers the MindFit(TM) game.  This scientific focus means these games are going in the right direction to offer the best brain training benefits.  In addition, as these games continued to be tested in studies, more research will show these companies how to adjust these games to get even more benefits.

Video Games and the Law: Sex, Violence and Addiction

Video games have long been the scapegoat of politicians and media campaigns. Whilst the majority of the focus has been upon the depictions of violence within games, the furor over Grand Theft Auto’s infamous “Hot Coffee” scandal and subsequent legal wrangling brought on board the potential controversy of depicting explicit sexual acts in games. (Rockstar had at one stage planned to include a sex-based mini-game in the title. The plans were scrapped, but the code for them remained hidden in the game. When a PC enthusiast learned how to access them, instructions on how to access the content quickly spread across the internet, with an outcry following closely behind.)

A recent survey in the US in November of last year (see Rasmussen Reports: 54% Think Violent Video Games Lead to More Violence in Society) indicated that the majority of Americans (54% in the sample) believe that violent video games result in a more violent society.

Following Panorama’s recent expose of how engrossing games apparently are, we can now throw addiction into the pot. Please read on for further information.

The US

The US remains governed entirely under a system of self regulation – as yet there is no federal law against the sale of violent or sexually explicit video games to children (although certain states have tried to introduce legislation). The US system relies on the voluntary ESRB (Entertainment Software Rating Board, an independent body) rating system which rates titles and polices the marketing of games. The system relies on goodwill- that of retailers and the ESRB – so there is nothing, as a matter of law, to stop kids buying violent games. Attempts have been made by at least two states to ban the sale of violent games to children, but free speech legislation has to date blocked such attempts. The Californian Supreme Court is to rule later this year on whether such a ban would be legitimate.

The UK

The UK has a mandatory system for certain types of video games depending upon the content. Games featuring sex or violence must be submitted for classification by the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) in accordance with the Video Recordings Act 1984. The role of digital and interactive media was elaborated in the Criminal Justice & Public Order Act 1994, which introduced a number of new tests to the classification process, including a specific requirement to consider the ‘harm’ that the work may cause a potential viewer.

Video games remain generally exempt under the Video Recordings Act 1984 (VRA). However, the exemption will not apply if that game depicts:

  • sex
  • violence;
  • may encourage criminal activity (or other “matters of concern”); and/or
  • where the depiction of such material is particularly realistic.

The VRA was introduced at a time when games could not hope to rival the imagery of movies and films, but given the increasing visual fidelity of current and next generation videogames and the considerable crossover of interactive and traditional media entertainment, this exemption is of increasingly little value.

The attitude towards classification in the games industry has shifted over time and as a result, many publishers submit each and every new game to the BBFC to ensure the game has been classified before publication.

Following the arrival of the Digital Economy Act, legal powers have been granted to the PEGI (Pan-European Game Information) rating system with effect from 1 April 2011 and PEGI will become the sole classifier for video games in the UK. Any retailer who sells games after that date to anyone younger than the age certificate on the front of a game’s box is liable to prosecution.

Europe

In addition to the UK’s own mandatory age classification scheme, the PEGI scheme is a voluntary age suitability scheme aimed primarily at advising parents. In the UK this scheme is supported by UKIE (the Association for UK Interactive Entertainment, formerly ELSPA) and all its members are required to submit all games which are exempt from BBFC classification for classification under the PEGI system. In contrast to the BBFC system, publishers are required to fill out a self-assessment application form, based upon the content and provide their own suggested age rating which is verified upon receipt. สมัครสล็อต

The PEGI scheme currently covers sixteen countries within Europe, with Germany being the most notable absentee, as it relies upon its own compulsory classification procedure. Some other countries also use their own classification systems (e.g. Finland) and the ratings in these countries are adjusted accordingly. In essence, the PEGI scheme provides a useful guide to the likely classification of a release for publishers in Europe.

Age Classification

Both the BBFC and PEGI systems are fundamentally aimed at the protection of children and young persons and therefore employ a system of age classification. Publishers are strongly advised to consider submitting new games to the BBFC if they are in any doubt as to the content, as unlike the PEGI scheme, it is a criminal offence to supply illegal unclassified works or to supply age restricted material to persons under that age with fines and/or prison sentences for any person found in breach.

The BBFC will only classify the product and, where necessary, advise on cuts that need to be made. The BBFC cannot rule on the legality of the content, but in any event they will not classify material that they believe is in breach of the law.

Any submissions made under the PEGI scheme will be required to consult a checklist of the type of content that is likely to require mandatory classification. Whilst the checklist on the application form should not be taken as a complete summary, it does provide further guidance of the type of content to be wary of. It should be noted however that the age classifications under the BBFC and PEGI schemes do not necessarily match.

Prohibited Content

The law in relation to what is illegal is judged according to whether the material in question is legally obscene. Fortunately, whilst the Obscene Publications Acts were crafted in the early 1960’s, the test is judged according to the contemporary standards. The test is simply whether the effect of the material (considered as a whole) is “such as to deprave and corrupt persons“. There is no set definition; it is not enough that the publication shock or disgust, it must have a morally debasing, corrupting effect upon the viewer.

The requirement that the material be taken as a whole, rather than in relation to a specific item of content, considerably reduces the scope of the law in this area. In practice, the law of obscenity is rarely used, as mandatory classification has for the most part dealt with this issue. The key factor is the intended audience for the material. In light of this, publishers may wish to consider the material which is contained on a games website, given the difficulties of restricting access to a particular age group over the internet.

The BBFC Ratings

Given the generally balanced approach to censorship in the UK, the barrier as to what is and is not permissible within a video game is largely a decision for the publisher, depending on the market they are aiming for. The increasingly mature audience of the gaming market means that publishers may feel they can afford to release games that are restricted to the over 18 audience without taking a major hit in sales, as the Grand Theft Auto series ably demonstrates. If explicit sexual scenes are a feature within the game, the publisher can expect an ’18’ classification and be treated by retailers accordingly.

The BBFC publish guidelines on a regular basis and these should currently be the first reference for any developer or publisher wishing to have a better understanding of the likely classification of an intended release. Given the impending legalisation of PEGI, regard should also be had to PEGI rating system.

Because R18 material is reserved for highly explicit sexual material, it is difficult to see how any video game would fall into this category without a concerted effort on the part of the developer and publisher. Clearly any game featuring explicit sexual material must be submitted for classification by the BBFC.

The Current Regime

Whilst the “Hot Coffee” hidden mini game in GTA: San Andreas may have (and continues) to cause its publishers problems in the US, the game had already received an 18 certificate in the UK by the BBFC; there is nothing to suggest it would be treated differently under the BBFC’s guidelines if this material had been an intended part of the final game. This is in stark contrast with the reception abroad – in Australia and New Zealand for instance, two territories that closely follow UK law across a wide range of areas, the game was either banned or given an R18 rating in response.

Given that the fundamental basis of the age classification schemes is the protection of children, it follows that PG, 12 and 15 rated works will require greater scrutiny on the part of the developer/publisher to ensure that the game meets the required classification. Looking at the BBFC’s most recent decisions this is likely to affect magazine publishers who may bundle a mixture of demos and videos on cover mounted disks and wish to sell the magazine to the broadest audience available.

A comparison of “Psychonauts” – rated PG, “From Russia with Love” – rated 12 and “Resident Evil 4” – rated 15, shows that even strong violence may not automatically result in an 18 certificate. However, a title featuring strong sex/violence within a realistic setting, particularly featuring criminal related activity, for example the Grand Theft Auto series, will inevitably be aimed at an adult audience and be rated accordingly.

Unfortunately there are no hard and fast rules as to what particular type of content will lead to a particular rating, but an awareness of the above issues will provide a better understanding of how the system works. Publishers and developers would be well advised to bear in mind the intended rating from the start of a project to avoid any future headaches further down the line.

Gaming: Evolution and Devolution

People often have trouble understanding the word “tradeoff”, sure enough it’s easy enough to understand as exchange but in today’s corporate parlance it is meant as exchange of one commodity as a cost for another. I was playing Final Fantasy’s Dissidia on the good old PSP yesterday when I marveled at the game’s replay value, yes I have spent over 50 hours on it already, which is what this entire topic is all about. สมัครสล็อต

Normally if you look at the oldest games like Mario and Dave, they had one thing unanimously common, addiction to it. Not that I am propagating obsession towards anything, however this is what the current paradigm of gaming has come down to; a commodity. I have always been a gamer, I will not deny that and this is exactly what my contention with gaming today is. The first games had a lot of things that hooked people up but most of all it was about the level of engagement that the player had with the game environment or the “world” of the game. And this engagement has little to do with the 3D graphics or the extensive options available.

Let us take a look at the progression; first it was the advent of the simple arcade type games which were phenomenal to a certain point. Kept players hooked and introduced a whole new boom of media into the world. This was where literally every child was begging for the Atari systems and your Pentium II and III machines had Sega and NeoGeo emulators installed (mine still has both installed by the way) and game play elements were about difficult commands mixed in with clever sequences. Take this forward a bit further and the same two systems incorporated decent mixed stories and continuity in the games enhance the media capabilities being explored in the two avenues. The fighting game series KOF is an ardent testament to that and from there came the further boom of turn based strategy and role playing games which became akin to “user controlled novels” on computers. This adaptability of both game-play and media can be called as the turning curve of the gaming industry.

Because this was where a lot of business heads realized that the games could be used to simulate a lot of things, pretty much everything so the potential as a business commodity was obvious even from then on. The progress from then on was about enhancing the visual effects of the game, the additives were obvious the visuals needed more work so in came the influx of investment in gaming studios and the push for 3d graphics into gaming. That apex can be called as the secondary curve because once that was established, the potential for business gain via games became second to almost none. Hollywood movies will tell you the story of boom and fall without fail but games have the replay factor attached to them irrespective of their audience size that guarantees reward.

And this replay factor was cashed in next. We all can see the online capabilities being offered by games which as also paved way to players just buying the next powerup or update online. The concept of “buying all” is where we can point and say that gaming has devolved. So at a point where gaming was fun with added complexity like Baldur’s Gate, Ys, Metal Gear Solid, the games went on to become more about commodity value.

The biggest factor in all this is mobile gaming of course and here I point at the smartphone games which are purely centered on time killing. The problem occurs when the majority of the smartphone gamers are not regular gamers but more so there to just kill time. So when you give a game like Subway Surfers online buying advantages for the “normal” people, some level of competition envelopes between the console/PC games and the phone games. The niches are different, the categories are different, and the size is different. A game like Temple Run cannot be compared to Farcry 3 but ultimately when the games become about money then these things sidetrack and mix in.

Growing Up With Cards and Games

Summer and games go together for me.

When I was a child, my family had a cottage on a small lake in Northern Minnesota. It lacked both electricity and plumbing which was fine with me; I liked the feeling of camping but still having a comfortable bed to sleep in at night. The only drawback was an outhouse that was half a block from the cottage and not a fun trip at night. My mother solved this by creating a “honey pot” that we all used at night and one of us emptied in the morning (although I suspect my mother ended up with the job most often).

In the evening, our light came from kerosene lamps and a large brick fireplace. After my father, mother, brother and I came in from evening fishing (or on a rainy day), we played card games in front of the fireplace; kerosene lamps hanging overhead to light the small table in the middle. We played gin rummy, 500 rummy and schmier, a game that I remember as being a little like bridge. (If anyone knows how to play smear, please contact me because I need a tutorial!) I especially loved gin rummy and won more than my share of games but I usually couldn’t beat my father. Looking back, I’m not certain which was better; the card games or the quiet evenings with family. However, I grew up treasuring both.

At some point, we added Monopoly to the list but I always had a love/hate relationship with that game. If you’re winning, it’s great. Your houses lined the board and the stack of money in front of you grew larger every time someone shook the dice and landed on your property. But if you missed purchasing the best properties, every shake of the dice put you further and further in debt – perhaps a little bit like real life! I couldn’t handle the slide into poverty and was usually very relieved when I lost all my money and was able to quit the game.

Of course, Scrabble was always a favorite but, as the youngest, I was a little handicapped by my vocabulary. At the time, I didn’t know about short words like Qi. Xu, Qua and Za that fit into small spaces and earned a lot of points. Today I play Scrabble every day online with friends and use these words regularly although I have to admit that I still have no idea what they mean.

In college, I was introduced to Bridge. I watched friends playing; listening to their bids and studying their plays. When I met Barry, my husband-to-be, I had only played a few times. After we were engaged, he and I were invited to dinner and a bridge game at one of his married friend’s houses. I was nervous and felt like a kid; these couples were four or five years older than me and actually lived in houses, rather than dormitories. By the end of the evening, I was feeling more confident and felt my bridge playing had been pretty good. As soon as we were in the car, Barry turned to me and said, “Never, never bid a three card suit!” He married me anyway and even taught me how to bid the right way. สล็อต

For several years, we played party bridge with twelve friends who were, for the most part, at the same level as us. Each one of us rotated around three tables and different partners. However, there was one man in the group who took the game very seriously. Being his partner meant opening yourself to four hands of verbal abuse. I didn’t say anything at the time but this older and wiser version of myself would not have kept her mouth shut!

Once (and only once) I played duplicate bridge. We were living on an army base in Japan at the time and a friend asked me to substitute for her in a once-a-week duplicate bridge game while she stopped to have a baby. By this time, my bridge game had vastly improved and I immediately said yes. But I soon found out that this game had very little in common with party bridge. The room was deadly quiet, interrupted only with the sounds of quiet bidding at each table. The emphasis was on each hand and the score cards were kept meticulously. Also, the hands were carefully replaced for the next player.

After we had finished playing all the hands, everyone gathered to see where he or she had landed on the points list. I was second from last, with only a few more points than a ninety-year old woman who had dementia. The game was only two hours but it felt like eight. By the time I got home, I had a terrible headache. When Barry walked in the door, I was lying on the couch, an ice pack on my head and a glass of wine and bottle of aspirin on the table beside me.

When our children came along, we both spent hours playing children’s games such as Candy Land, Old Maid, Go Fish and Chutes and Ladders. Although those games disappeared as our children grew up, our game closet is now restocked with all of them, waiting for our granddaughter’s next visit. I’m finding it more fun playing the games this time around than I did when our children were young. I’m quite sure the reason for this is because we can enjoy playing with our grandchild without the anxieties that accompanied raising our own children. Grandchildren are simply fun!

With the advent of computers, we can also play a lot of games online. As I mentioned before, I play at least ten games of Scrabble with friends and family but these move slowly with only one move by each player in a day. In addition, I am addicted to the Microsoft Solitaire Collection which includes a daily challenge in five different solitaire games. You collect points which grow daily until (hopefully) you reach the gold bell by the end of the month when the scoring starts over. If you miss a few days, you get behind on your games. Catching up can be fun if you don’t mind a marathon day (or two) of computer games. And this is where the addiction starts!

Since we have lived in Florida, we have been introduced to two new games that we play with friends. The first is Rummikub, a board game that is a lot like 500 rummy. Barry and I play with three friends every couple of months and we usually lose. One friend has been playing this game for years with a group in her home town. They play for money, a penny a point and she would like us to do this also. I’d be willing if either Barry or I won once in a while but at the rate we’re going now, that isn’t going to happen anytime soon.

The other game we play with friends in our neighborhood is Mexican Train, a dominoes game. The strategy is fun but the best part of this game is pushing the button in the middle of the plastic train which emits a loud, “Choo cho, choo cho.” Of course, to be allowed to push the button you have to first win the game and, unfortunately that doesn’t happen to me very often. So occasionally I cheat and push the button for fun.

Video Game Consoles – What to Look For When Buying

One of the most popular forms of entertainment these days is using video game systems or consoles. People spend a lot of money on video game consoles and on the different games that are available for them. A gaming system can provide a lot of relaxation and fun for a whole family.

Why would people purchase a game system instead of a computer? Most games available for gaming consoles also have versions for the desktop computer. So what are the advantages of the consoles?

There are several reasons why people purchase these game systems instead of a desktop computer.

• It is usually much cheaper.

• No compatibility issues with games.

• No need to set up or install the game before you can play.

• Shorter waits for the game to load.

• Easy to connect to TV and stereo.

• All games for a particular game system will run.

• Multiplayer capability that may not be available with a home computer.

So what exactly is a gaming system or console?

A simple explanation is that it is a highly specialized computer. It contains a processor and memory and power supply just like a desktop computer. It may also contain a storage device such as a hard drive. It runs a software kernel that provides the internal interface between the different hardware components and the video game. The console also has various external interfaces. The interfaces usually include connectors for audio and video output, and one or more user control interface. A console may supply video to a computer monitor or TV, sound to your computer speaker or stereo system. There is also an optical drive (CD or DVD) or game cartridge receptacle to allow playing different games.

The user control interface is what makes the gaming consoles sparkle. It gives the game player a unique experience that is totally superior to watching a TV. Instead of passive entertainment, the console provides an interactive form of game play. Joysticks or specialized game controllers are plugged into the user control interface to provide this unique interactivity.

If you have a home entertainment system, you may be interested to know that you can connect the outputs from most gaming consoles to a wide screen TV and digital surround speakers. Some say this provides for more satisfying and realistic game play. สล็อต xo

There is a wide selection of games for most game consoles. Game developers are continuously developing new games for the different consoles. Certain games are available in a version for the desktop computer, or are available for multiple gaming consoles. You can’t run a game that’s designed for one console on another, however. You’d have to buy the version for the other console if you wanted to run it there.

Which console should you buy? There are several available. You should choose a game console that has great graphics and sound quality and a wide selection of available games. Some of the consoles on the market today are the Sony PlayStation 3, Microsoft Xbox 360, and Wii. The Wii Remote Controller, used with the Wii, measures movement of the player and allows users to experience games like baseball and golf in a realistic way while staying indoors!

If you are considering buying a gaming system, it’s best to first consider what kind of games you want to play, then do some research on which systems can run those types of games. That way you will surely be able to enjoy many hours of relaxation and fun with your gaming system.

Like the game Treasure Isle by Zynga, this game is based on treasure hunting and explorations. However, you must be asking what makes this game different from any other treasure hunting game out there?

First off we look at the interface of Treasure Madness. The thing here is, this game is not fully base on Flash alone. I do notice that some part of the game is made out of web interface. This is kind of unique with the mixture of both worlds. Health bars and inventory menus are located on the right side of the screen and it is not part of flash, rather it is web based here. On the centre of the screen is where you do your main interaction.

The Game first introduce you to the welcome screen and as soon as you click PLAY, you will be display with the loading screen of the Bi-Plane flying to a unknown island. This is where you game starts. Tutorial in this game is simple and rather short.

Once you reach the island you will be instructed to DIG the grown you walk on. From there it is really depends on your luck to see what you can find below. Funny part of the game here is if you do not find anything the your character will shout out loud in strange symbols (You might get the joke to this if you read a lot of comics) and if you do find something a new screen will pop up and provide you with a challenge. This is where this game truly shines compared to Treasure Isle.

Each finding will provide you with a mini-game which is randomly generated and provide players with a chance to play games like Fruittle, Pearls Mania and a few others more. Each games plays differently and this allow players to actually play the game without getting bored of the same old thing over and over again.

The mini-games are easy to play and most will come with a simple instruction on how the game works. After a few hours into the game, I really love how the developers do with all the mini-games as some is very addictive and easy to master for all ages. Once you completed the mini-game a reward will be provided to the player. However if the player somehow lose during the mini-game, then no reward is offer. Somehow this game provides player with challenge to always try to beat the mini-game to gain extra bonus items.

The game itself is not only about digging the ground you walk on, you will also have to chop down trees, vines and also do a little mining operations. However most equipment need to be purchase and it does not come cheap. So for the first few round, players will be limited to digging the earth a bit.

Something I do notice is that once you finish a map, player will then have to purchase a new map in order to continue their treasure hunting quest. This is where a bit of resource management comes in as you need to plan a bit on what to buy and what not. Nothing is really serious on this part of the game play.

Another thing we look at is the inventory system. The inventory system can be access at anytime and the right side of the screen. Mainly the only thing the players need to worry about is their health as it is used to help player continue their hunting. Best part, fruits or health regeneration pack is easily come back and the health refill counter is also limited to 35 seconds. It is very easy for your health bar to replenish while players take a short break. สล็อต xo

Graphic

Not really the best graphic you can find in Facebook gaming as some of the texture in the game is rather simple and plain. But this is not to say this is an ugly game to begin with. This game does has its shines in the graphic department.

Sound

I do not really comment much on the sound as I do not really recall having any music. Sound FX and rather plain, but for this sort of game it is rather suitable as you do not really need to hear a lot from the game itself.

Conclusion

This is rather a unique game that will provide players of all ages’ fun and entertainment for hours to come. I for one rather enjoy the game a lot especially the mini-game part. I would like to see more contents update for this game in the future. Happy Hunting Everyone!

How to Develop a Video Game

Game development is something that happens before a game arrives on the shelves of any store for you to play. It is hard to imagine sometimes that a game that you sit down and play has taken so much time to create and develop. The development process of a video game has to go through a number of phases before it is ready to be played. As part of the development team there will be the design stage where the idea for the video game takes shape and starts coming to life. Then as the game develops it moves into its final stage before production. This is where testers come in and try to break the game before it goes live for quality assurance processes – then they fix whatever doesn’t pass the test. It can take months to develop a game properly and all the areas are important within the development process.

Step 1: Think up ideas for the storyline of the game

The first step in the development process is to think up and create the storyline for the game. Any decent game nowadays requires good game design. This is where the ideas for the storyline take shape. A game simply will not work or be successful when produced if the story is poor and full of holes – just like a movie. Video games vary between puzzles, educational and popular action stories. The story will incorporate the characters that are needed and what role each of them will play in the game itself.

Step 2: Create the Characters

Once you have decided the story that the video game will take and the characters that will interact with those playing the game, then you need to create those characters. There are two different kinds of characters when it comes to designing a video game. The first is the non-playing types and the others are the ones that are controlled by the player. There are some games that have just one primary character that the player controls. Then there are some games that feature numerous primary characters that the player can select from. These characters all need to move. This is achieved by giving them motion. Each character will have a range of motions that he or she can perform. This range can be developed by fixing motion sensors to an actor and then transferring to a computer.

Step 3: Create the game environment

The next step is to create the environment in which the characters will move about it in. This part is thought about in the design and then brought to life here. In many ways the creation of the scenery and environment is the same process as creating the characters. The big difference is for some games the environment or back drop does not move. Attention to detail is a must for this step in order to make the game look more realistic.

Step 4: Code and test the game

Finally, the development team will code the video game behind the scenes before handing over to the games testers for final testing and approval. Any problems found during this stage are handed back to the developers to fix and then this area is re-tested again until it works correctly. This is perhaps the most important element in the development of any game as the testers are the last line of defense before the game goes live. สล็อต
